47. Five tips for a good morning

We all hear the overused Good Morning every day. It doesn’t make any difference to how our morning goes. The wish normally said with a good intent doesn’t guarantee a good morning. Nobody can make your mornings good apart from you yourself. It is in your hand how you want your day to start and how decent you want it to be. It is your decision to wake up early or late, to have breakfast or not, to exercise or not. So, why not make choices that actually make your mornings good? Here are some tips to lead a good morning.

1. Alarm:

Who likes waking up to loud irritating music? So, why do it then? Change your alarm tone to something soothing that can gradually wake you up from your sleep without shocking or irritating your brain. Unpleasant music makes us likely to snooze again and again. Take a few minutes and wake up to something that soothes your mind. This will be a good start to your day.

2. Drink water:

I know, this is cliché and overly used, but worth mentioning. Drink at least one full glass of water first thing in the morning. Hydrating the body is very important and especially after 6-7 hours of deep slumber. This freshens your body and mind and is very good for your metabolism. Add a lemon slice or two if you have time to make the water more effective.

3. Morning exercise:

This is the hardest to follow. How many times do we think that we should exercise or at least meditate in the morning? And how many times do we actually end up doing it? We all know the importance and why it is so good for our physical as well as mental health, we just have to push ourselves to do it regularly.

4. Fulfilling breakfast:

Breakfast is heavily understated and the most important meal of the day. After hours of relaxation, our stomach needs fulfilling meal to start the day with the right kind of energy. Avoiding breakfast leads to tiredness and fatigue during the day. It lessens our productivity and affects physical health.

5. Plan ahead:

Rushing through the morning because of lack of clarity is the worst start to a new day. Always plan ahead in advance to know what your day looks like. It will save time and decrease stress. This will also make you feel in control of your day.
